This week, our Infants class is setting sail on a journey back in time! On Tuesday, the children will step on board the Titanic for an exciting, hands-on workshop to kick off our learning about one of history’s most famous sea voyages.

Throughout the week, the children will share their own creative projects and discover why the Titanic holds such a significant place in world history—including a very special local connection.

We will be learning about Colne’s own Wallace Hartley, the brave bandmaster who famously led his orchestra to play music on deck to keep passengers calm on that fateful night. Discovering his story helps the children connect national history directly to our own community.

It promises to be a memorable week of discovery, creativity, and local history!
